Stephen Carbone is an IT industry leader for the past 34 years. He started his career with a BS degree in electronic engineering. Starting out as a traveling technician for banking and other financial institutions in the early 90s, He learned much about security and compliance from its raw beginnings. From there he transitioned to computers and data solutions. Here he worked withHHHHH IT management was the next logical stop as he took command of Entercom communication during the Sinclair merge, in this project, he also designed the migration for Deloitte and Touché. All this happening right as the “year 2000 bug” and 911 was happening. This was the true revolution for security compliance was not far behind after he got involved with SOX thanks to the Enron scandal. Couple years later his career took an interesting path into the casino industry. Here he learned about some of the finest security systems known to man. Biometric access control was also introduced at this time. Then it was bleeding edge but now it’s commonplace. One thing he is learn through all this is to stay ahead of the curve on new technology and embrace it because there is no stopping it.
